Parents,
I am pleased to have your child in my English class. The class is designed to give students opportunities for total language growth through listening, responding (speaking), reading, and writing.
Throughout the school year, each child will participate in a variety of activities:

1. Bellwork - Each student must complete bellwork assignments daily. These assignments are taken up and graded every two weeks. |

2. Homework - Homework assignments are given every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Please, encourage your child to complete homework assignments! |

3. Quiz/Test - A quiz is given after each lesson. |
|
4. Grade Sheet - Students are required to post grades and bonus points on his/her grade sheet. I will initial grade sheets weekly. I need parents to sign grade sheets every two weeks. Please, check your child's grade sheet as you monitor his/her progress. |

5. English Notebook - All graded work and notes must be neatly arranged by dates in his/her notebook. |
